The news
I think it's sad that with all that's going on in the world, Miley has been all over the news. I saw the clip from the awards and she didn't look the least bit sexy; in fact, she looked like a prepubescent he/she and I was actually embarassed for her. She can sing, some songs better than others, and a shock attempt at nudity isn't shocking for one, it's pitiful, and not necessary. Put your clothes on little girl!
The earthquake in Pakistan - shame it didn't happen in an area where the terrorists are hiding out. To the children, my heart is with you.
Our administration - when will people wake up? It just boggles my mind that this man has been allowed to get by with what he has. Is it the uninformed young people who have taken over this country? The entitled? People aren't entitled to anything they haven't worked for. Get off your lazy asses and do something! Russia laughs at us, Israel hates us, we are nothing anymore.
The former football player who had his house broken into and nearly destroyed - can you believe the parents threatening suit because he told? I'd have had mine by the ear dragging them to his house and they'd sure be able to stand up and work and repair because they certainly wouldn't be able to sit down!
I talked to a dear friend the other night and it bothers me that their life has been nothing but the search for the next 24-pack of beer. They don't realize how bad the slurring of words is, how the thought process is so scattered and makes no sense. I can't imagine that after 30 years of this drinking their liver isn't just gone.
Vacation next weekend, what do to, what to do. May just take a ride up the mountain to Cherokee and see if the trees are changing. Not much going on here yet except it's getting much cooler than it was.
Brian is working his tail off at ETSU. He's on a new medication so we are anxious to see how that has helped his concentration. He's had so much going on in his mind with school, trying to find work, losing his brother, no contact with his other siblings, and his genetic donor - it's been hard on him, especially since he is such a caring individual. He is still searching for "the one" to settle down with and have a family. Very hard nowadays to find something without multiple piercings, tattoos, with a glass of booze in one hand. Where did all the nice girls go? It's a sad statement when most of the people he graduated with have kids out of wedlock.
